It's hard to go on Instagram, that is not a secret. Most people are aware that it's difficult and getting increasingly more difficult to grow on Instagram. If you're one of the many people who are trying to grow on Instagram in 2020, you're in the right place, because I'm going to outline nine different tips that you can supplement into your Instagram strategy to help you grow in 2020. Let's go.

- Post At A Specific Time Where Most of Your Followers Are Active. The First Tip is super easy to implement, and it may be something that you're already doing without even being aware of it. If you're going to post that day and you know you're in a post at a specific time, an hour or two before I go into your feed and go through the recent posts like them and leave thought provoking conversation, stimulating comments. This works even better if the people that you're commenting on also follow you.

- Use New Instagram Features. Instagram is constantly releasing new features to the platform. It looks very different today than it did even a year or two years ago & that's all because of new features that they roll out. They usually let everybody know there's a new feature by releasing a story from Instagram that everybody sees, explaining how different creators can use that new feature to interact with their audience. When you see this and you see a new feature, be sure to get on it and get on it quickly to interact and engage with your audience. The reason why you want to do this is because Instagram rewards users that use their new features, because that's their main focus at that time. So they reward you by showing you to more people because you were quick to use their new features and help spread it to more and more people keeping more people on Instagram longer. So take advantage of that and hop on the new features when ever you see them roll out to get even more exposure.

- Use hashtags on your posts as well as your stories. Most people use them on their posts, even if they're not totally aware of how to use them. But very few people use them on their stories. A lot of people aren't utilizing this as an opportunity for them to get increased exposure. The two main reasons why people don't use hashtags on their stories is, one, because they think there's no real benefit to doing so & two, they think it makes their story look less appealing and less aesthetic to users who may come across it. The benefit to using hashtags on your stories is that you have the opportunity to get in the story for that hashtag and get shown to a bunch of people who are following that hashtag or come across and look at it. That's actually the first thing you see when you do go research a hashtag. It's super easy to do to throw a few hashtags into your story post.

- Create content that is highly shareable. You can create content that is specific to your audience, easy to consume and it provides quick wins or a ton of value within that post. The reason why you want to do this is because if it does provide a ton of value to a specific type of person or a person with a specific type of interests., anybody who comes across that content that they know someone else that may also benefit from that when they're going to share it with that person & that's super good for you for two reasons. One, a share is a very powerful form of engagement in the eyes of Instagram, but two, because they're sending it directly to someone else who's interested or may take value in that content being your content. If they see that they take that win and take value from it, they're very likely to follow you because one that took value, but two, because it's being sent from someone else through that send their friend or the other user that they know might take value is putting an endorsement on it because they send it to them from their profile. So that's incredibly valuable because you're getting a friend's endorsement to actually come check your content and very likely follow you.

- Stop thinking selfishly and thinking about simply creating content for you or that you enjoy it. So with that being said, there's a huge distinction as to who I'm speaking to. If your Instagram is strictly for a place to store your photos or to share it with your family or friends, then that's totally fine. Make the content strictly for you. But if you're reading this article, there's probably a bigger vision here. You're looking to grow either for your personal brand or for your business. So that's why you want to get out of that selfish mindset and instead get into the mind of your followers or your audience. What problems are they currently having? What winds can you provide? All of these things will amplify the amount of engagement that you receive and improve your ability to become exposed to more ideal followers that can help grow your brand or help grow your business because you're serving a specific set of people providing a very clear and easy reason for anybody who would fall into that category to follow you because there's a direct benefit to doing so. So whenever creating content get into the mind of your ideal follower and make content that they're looking for, especially if they don't even know they're looking for it yet, and you can fill that void that is gravy for you and that's going to result in a ton of shares. So get in their mind.
